NA1500 - NetAccess? for Carriers, WISP's & Cable MSO's
IP3?s NetAccess? for Carriers, WISP's & Cable MSO's (NA1500) is a 1U 19? rack mountable hardware platform that was created for high demand environments such as convention centers, apartments, and campus deployments. The NA1500 utilizes a dual processor architecture for maximum performance and supports up to 1,500 (upgradeable to 2,000) authenticated users.
The NA1500 is cost effective and robust enough to handle access for a very large number of access points and users. It?s easy to setup, easy to use and includes IP3's unique auto-provisioning engine allows corporate users to connect to their VPN server without hassle even if they have a static IP configured for their corporate network.
NetAccess is a powerful tool that allows the venue owner and/or service provider to segment the property based on location, user or group policies. Billing and authentication options include credit card, Radius, pre-paid codes, username/password, MAC address, PMS, manual billing, XML and 802.1q for location-based billing.
Flexibility is key and NetAccess allows you to slice and dice the venue so that different login portals may be presented to different types of users based on where they connect. In larger venues, you may have a hotspot area in the lobby that requires pre-paid codes or credit card payment while other areas are dedicated to monthly subscribers using Radius AAA or nightly charges via credit card or the venues PMS system.
Bandwidth management is available so service providers can limit bandwidth usage on a per user basis. Multiple speeds or classes of service can be offered as a way to gain additional revenue from customers that pay extra to upgrade to faster speeds.
Management is via SSH or intuitive web-based GUI and the product is designed to allow management of multiple access points behind the NetAccess using port bindings off the WAN side IP address.
